From mycotoxin research to practical biological solutions.

Zhendujie (Hangzhou) Biotechnology Engineering Co., Ltd. is engaged in mycotoxin research and development, testing, and technology commercialization. The company possesses leading technologies for deoxynivalenol-degrading enzymes and degrading microorganisms, and holds multiple invention patents.

Since 2015, it has conducted research and experimental collaboration with the Hangzhou Zhendujie Research Institute, Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang University of Technology, China Agricultural University, Huazhong Agricultural University, Henan Agricultural University, and university joint mycotoxin laboratories. Working with more than 30 doctoral researchers, the team developed six food-grade mycotoxin-degrading enzymes and enzymes that inhibit and decompose fungi for use in food safety and livestock production.

In 2024, the company and its joint laboratories published a new detection method for deoxynivalenol in food on Nature's official website.

MetaGut TriShield product package
Core raw materials

Three scientifically combined functional modules.

The core formula combines fermentation essences from six functional probiotics, a broad-spectrum mycotoxin biodegrading enzyme complex, and a compound microbial lytic enzyme system. It contains no chemical mold-removal ingredients, no hormones, and no antibiotic residues, and is suitable for a wide range of farmed animals.

Module 01

Six probiotic fermentation essences

Saccharomyces boulardii, Clostridium butyricum, Bacillus coagulans, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, and Exiguobacterium.

Module 02

Six toxin-specific degrading enzymes

Targeted biological enzymes for aflatoxin, deoxynivalenol, zearalenone, ochratoxin, T-2 toxin and fumonisin.

Module 03

Compound microbial lytic enzymes

Directed lytic enzymes that disrupt harmful microbial cell walls and release intracellular bioactive substances from beneficial bacteria.

1

Advanced bioprocessing with durable activity

The six selected strains undergo deep liquid fermentation to enrich highly active extracellular metabolites, followed by combination with targeted lytic enzymes and six toxin-specific degrading enzymes. Low-temperature spray drying locks in activity throughout the process and avoids heat damage to viable bacteria and enzymes. Compared with conventional single-strain live microbial products, MetaGut TriShield tolerates storage and high temperatures better after mixing, provides greater stability, and markedly improves utilization of active ingredients.

2

Multi-dimensional functions beyond single-purpose products

MetaGut TriShield overcomes the limitation of ordinary probiotics that only regulate the gut and conventional mold binders that only adsorb toxins. It combines mycotoxin biodegradation, intestinal barrier repair and reproductive-system support for breeding poultry. It provides a one-stop response to mold contamination, intestinal disruption, declining production performance and reduced reproductive capacity in laying and breeding poultry, making it a preferred comprehensive health-management product for large-scale poultry farms.

3

One formula, three effects

In-vivo detoxification, broad-spectrum microbial control and intestinal support are integrated in one product, delivering all three forms of care in a single step. The application range covers aquaculture species, livestock and poultry.

Mechanisms of action

Biological precision across four pathways.

â—Ž

Potent broad-spectrum microbial control and rebuilding of the intestinal microecology

Co-metabolites from the six probiotics rapidly establish and occupy niches in the livestock and poultry intestine. They directly inhibit harmful microorganisms and reduce inflammation, cover multiple common livestock and poultry pathogens, establish a balanced intestinal microecological system, and provide lasting protection for animal health.

â—Ž

Enzymatic biological detoxification without nutrient loss

Six highly active, specific degrading enzymes precisely target aflatoxin, deoxynivalenol, zearalenone, ochratoxin, T-2 toxin and fumonisin. They achieve thorough detoxification by disrupting the toxic functional groups of toxin molecules. Unlike physical adsorbents such as montmorillonite, the system does not adsorb vitamins, minerals or other feed nutrients, preserving complete dietary nutrient absorption.

â—Ž

Cell-wall lysis amplifies bioactive value

A dedicated microbial lytic enzyme disrupts the cell walls of harmful microorganisms while releasing intracellular active substances from beneficial bacteria. This doubles the functional impact of probiotics, metabolites and enzyme preparations and improves overall efficiency.

â—Ž

Activity is preserved for consistent full-cycle performance

Low-temperature drying firmly preserves biological activity. Whether during warehousing and transport, storage in high-temperature environments, or routine feed mixing, the active ingredients resist inactivation, ensuring stable performance from manufacture through use.

application studies

1. Growth performance in weaned piglets

MetaGut TriShield increased piglet feed intake and average daily gain while reducing the feed-to-gain ratio. Compared with the control group, average daily gain increased by 13.3%, average daily feed intake increased by 3.7%, and the feed-to-gain ratio decreased by 0.12.

2. Effects on the poultry intestine

Adding MetaGut TriShield to the diet significantly increased jejunal villus height in broilers and effectively improved the villus-to-crypt ratio. Performance was superior to both the untreated control and the probiotic-only group.

3. Effects on egg quality

Dietary MetaGut TriShield effectively improved laying-bird production performance and egg quality: it significantly improved eggshell quality, reduced the proportion of defective eggs, increased egg weight and improved yolk pigmentation, thereby enhancing the overall economic value of commercial eggs.

4. Milk yield in dairy cows under environmental stress

Before the feed change, the maximum difference in average daily milk yield between the test and control groups was 2.10 kg. After the feed change, the maximum difference increased to 5.16 kg. The results show that MetaGut TriShield can effectively alleviate the negative effect of feed-change stress on dairy-cow milk yield and maintain stable production.

Important use information

This is a biologically active preparation. Do not use it at the same time as strongly acidic disinfectants or high-concentration antibiotics. Separate the use of these two product categories by at least 4 hours to avoid inactivating the active ingredients.

When feed becomes moldy, MetaGut TriShield detoxifies it through biological enzymatic degradation. Do not combine it with montmorillonite-type adsorbents, which can adsorb vitamins, trace elements and other feed nutrients.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place. Avoid direct sunlight and high-temperature stacking. Use as soon as possible after opening.
